In relevance to this, targeted therapy with immunotherapy and genetic engineering intervention may represent an ideal approach to destroy the cells from metastasize and prevent tumor recurrence in the future. In this review, we present the current situation of breast cancer therapy in the aspect of synthetic biology as well as its future perspectives. This review highlights the use of engineered cells or organisms as a promising strategy for breast cancer treatment.
